What's Included in our Full Restoration Service?
- Full disassembly of carburettors
- Sonic cleaning of all parts
- Blast cleaning to remove corrosion and paint, and to improve the surface finish
- Surface coating of parts, including electroplating and specialist paints to provide long life protection
- Polishing of vacuum chamber (the dashpot)
- Replacement of gaskets and rubber seals
- Replacement of needle valves and seats
- Replacement of butterfly shaft
- Replacement of throttle and choke springs where necessary
- Re-bush of worn butterfly shaft bores where necessary
- Cleaning and milling of gasket faces where necessary
- New stainless steel vacuum housing screws
- Full assembly, basic mixture setting and leak testing
Should we encounter the following problems during the rebuild, we may need to charge extra. In these cases we will contact you before proceeding:
- Replacement of any broken parts not listed above
- Replacement of leaking floats
Full carburettor tuning should always be completed once the units have been installed. This is not part of our standard restoration service.

- Non standard needle and spring selection
Typically, a restoration of twin carburettors will take 2 to 3 weeks. If all parts are in stock, this can take less time. Extensive machining or ordering of specialist parts can extend this period.
